What you’ll do:

You will be a part of a winning team where you will get exposure to engineer Connectors & Terminal solutions for Electric Vehicle applications. You'll provide technical support for the development of High Voltage and Low Voltage Connector products as per customer needs in a matrix organization as an Engineer in Power Connections division of Mobility group.

  1. Understand market & customer requirement in Electric Vehicle Connector Space , specifically in High & Low Voltage Segment.

  2. Ideal candidate shall have basic understanding of injection molding with strong acumen in mechanical product design with CAD skills.

  3. Must have hands-on experience and knowledge of designing plastic products. Able to apply Engineering principles for plastic molded components with DFM&A thought process to ensure ease of Manufacturability and Assembly.

  4. Determine the innovative ways to meet customer requirements which include -Packaging, Performance , Manufacturing feasibility and Durability.

  5. Not mandatory but knowledge of connector/terminal design is preferred.

  6. Perform detail calculations / Verification of weight, load distribution, fastener loads, etc. to support the design refinement of connectors and terminals

  7. Work with Project Lead to support and execute the project activities to meet the project deliverables on time

  8. Create drawings for concept evaluation and apply GD&T controls for part quality and acceptance of critical features. Link special characters to process capability

  9. Release drawings to suppliers for prototypes and production through CO / CR in ENOVIA PLM system following the standard process routes.

  10. Apply DFSS principles & tools (ex: B&P diagrams, Scorecard, DFMEA) to deliver a robust engineering design.

  11. Demonstrate good presentation, communication skills to drive the design based decision /conclusions.

Qualifications:

Education level required

1) Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering with 2-5 Yrs of experience in Electrical/ Automotive Industry in plastic component design & development in connectors design .

2) Hands on experience on designing plastic products & development life cycle is preferred

3) Need to have 'Go Beyond mindset' to execute and deliver innovative solutions,

4) Good presentation, communication & leadership skills needed to drive the technical decision /conclusions

5) Ability to operate with minimal supervision"
