  • What you will do:

  • Technical Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, research, design, develop, modify, and verify components/modules.

  • Translate design inputs to engineering specifications and produce sub-system level designs.

  • Develop and analyze solutions, prototyping one or more options to provide proof of concept.

  • Apply fundamental and some advanced concepts, practices and procedures for problem solving.

  • Troubleshoot engineering design issues, develop, and propose solutions to design. Implement design changes effectively and efficiently.

  • Business Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of customer needs and design inputs.

  • Demonstrate proficiency with product's intended use and clinical procedures.

  • Learn how the financial models are constructed.

  • Able to communicate with cross-functional teams and overseas ​partners.

  • Med Device Compliance:

  • Follow fundamental industry standards, design requirements and test strategies which apply to regulatory requirements.

  • Independently create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file.

  • Follow R&D procedure like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System.

  • General Responsibilities :

  • Under minimal supervision, work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success.

  • Quickly process and assimilate procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.

  • Work on complex problems, applying advanced experience and learnings.

  • Demonstrate ownership and prioritize work with minimal supervision.

  • Works as key member of the team, collaborating with others and solidifying relationships.

  • What you will need:

  • Technical Skills:

  • Experience in mechanical design and developments of the product / part/ assembly including CAD modeling, detailed drafting/drawing, and documentation, design of solid parts, machined parts, assemblies, plastic parts, packaging, electro-mechanical components, PCBs, and accessories.

  • Strong technical ability in creating engineering drawings, 3D models, applying GD&T and CAE tools. Exposure to applying knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product/part design. Can use CAD to a high level to design 3D parametric models and assemblies using SolidWorks.

  • Must have experience with SolidWorks CAD tool, SolidWorks PDM database is required.

  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have a good understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, experience with engineering analysis methods, tolerance analysis and understanding of FEA basics.

  • Must understand commonly used drafting standards as ASME Y14. 5 , DIN, ISO.

  • Good to have basic knowledge of ECO/ECN/ECR.

  • Must have working knowledge of standard /off the shelf components and its application.

  • Strong technical ability to develop and optimize designs for mechanical / electro-mechanical assemblies at system level. Basic understanding NPD cycle from concepts to launch of product.

  • Able to work with internal and external design teams to resolve design challenges.

  • Able to handle multitasks and can communicate with various departments, including manufacturing, inspection, regulatory, quality etc.

  • Good to have experience of medical device industry /industrial products Industry.

  • Independently able to prioritize and execute tasks requests from multiple tasks que.

  • Ability to Communicate basic plans and technical information to team members.

  • Good communication skill (verbal and written)

  • Preferred Skills / Engineering tools:

  • SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM

  • GD&T basics

  • Tolerance stack-up basics.

  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.

  • Knowledge of standard /off the shelf components and its application

  • Knowledge of design and concept generation utilizing CAD and CAE tools.

  • Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods.

  • Basic knowledge of analysis tools/methods and statistical methods and engineering documents creation

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Tool Design (BE/B.Tech.) from Tier 1 college & 6+ years of work experience
