As a (Senior) Design Expert (f/m/d) for Battery Energy Storage Systems (battery, power conversion system (PCS), and controls), every day is not the same in your multicultural team. You will be responsible for the design, construction details and development of the best-fit-solutions in Energy Storage for our global customers and make a significant contribution to the energy transition. With our Siemens Energy-wide collaboration, we combine various sustainable solutions to increase our customer happiness.

Are you willing to take on the challenge of developing new battery storage applications and establish them effectively in the market?

Your new role – challenging and future- oriented:

  • Developing accurate 3D layouts, designs and integration of the individual components of a battery storage system and ensuring compatibility, i.e. adoption of rules and regulations, in accordance with the project scope and within specified time frames.

  • Responsible for implementation and guidance of Basic & Detail Engineering activities for storage solutions and their integration into existing power plants, new builds, or infrastructure assets.

  • Creating engineering prints and bills of material for manufacturing.

  • Responsible for growing a sub-component or portfolio element to excellence.

  • Strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships by technical expertise (drawing approval, 3-D model review).

  • Profound experiences in CAD and construction of battery systems and their sub-components, preferably using Siemens NX and GloBus Teamcenter. Applicants with first experience are also welcome.

  • Hands-on experience in MS Office and SAP to facilitate project execution.

  • Basic knowledge about standards, regulations, grid codes and market requirements.

  • Good communication and presentation skills and a self-organized way of working in an intercultural environment.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a similar field

  • Fluent in English (mandatory); German skills are a plus.
