Job Description

What You’ll Do

This role will report to the Business Engineering Director. As an Applied Technologist, you provide specialized presales knowledge within our sales cycles. The Applied Technologist assists with customer care and sales efforts for topics such as information security, data residency, high compliance, audit reports, integration, Single Sign-On, technical architecture and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services such as IDCS/IAM. This role’s key objective is to remove technical barriers to close the sale quicker by providing expert security, architecture, integration, and sizing support.

The ideal candidate should have a background in on premise applications and SaaS applications. In a time where remote presentations are most prevalent, the ability to engage with our customers remotely is crucial however, limited travel is a possibility. You will also:

  • Discussion with customers, validate customers’ pains and requirements via meetings, phone calls, Zoom and/or emails

  • Give presentations about the technology supporting Oracle Construction and Engineering solutions based on clients’ requirements.

  • Highlight the benefits of Oracle SaaS solution and underlying technology while answering prospects’ security questionnaires and RFXs.

  • Assist with the creation and monitoring of customer evaluation, pilots and proof of concepts

  • Addressing technical questions during sales opportunity

  • Undertake value-based selling methodologies and tie technology capabilities to overall benefits and goals of the organisation

  • Research answers to prospects’ questions and share knowledge with your team members.

  • Work with sales teams and strategize on account strategy and approach.

  • Liaise with Product and Strategy teams to communicate customer requirements
