Your new role – challenging and future- oriented:

  • In this position, the candidate is responsible for the data architecture in HVDC projects. With your profile, you support the implementation of the Building Information Modelling (BIM). Contributing to the Enterprise Data Architecture development, you define the data architecture for essential elements of the energy transformation: Energy transmission systems.

  • He/She will act as a DBNE Coordinator in Project (DCiP), actively introducing DBNE approach and set-up in project. In this position candidate will be responsible for handling with PAM (Plant Asset Management) including features to enable project execution by respective engineering disciplines. He/She will also be responsible continuous improvement of the Siemens in- house tool PAM, used for data handling of HVDC project components. He/ She will actively seek and collect user feedback and then derive, plan, and implement improvement measures.

Area of Responsibility

  • Consults PM involving product owner team in DBNE set-up prior to project kickoff

  • Introduces DBNE approach and set-up in project kickoff meeting (together with product owner)

  • Creates DBNE Schedule and Timetable based on project schedule / milestones

  • Tracks progress of data input in all disciplines

  • Interface between DBNE core team and project team

  • Transfers issues / project requirements from project to DBNE Core Team

  • Roll-out of new features and enhancements in PAM

  • Reports implementation and status to DBNE product owner

  • First responder for all DBNE related questions/issues from the project in initial project phase

  • Supports in creation of the project structure in PAM (But does not create the structure)

  • Consolidation of an asset architecture with a cross-functional team.

  • Reports implementation and status to Project Manager and Project Information Manager if applicable

  • Organizes initial onboarding and training of project team

  • Has the overview of used PAM version and libraries/dictionary versions

  • Support the DBNE Key User(s) community

External / Internal Contacts

  • External: Customer/Supplier/Consortium Partner, Tool vendor

  • Internal: Project Teams, Expert Users, IT Team

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Bachelor in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other comparable degree

  • Project experience in engineering of HVDC project/ Facts

  • Experience in intercultural collaboration, language skills, experience in cooperation/negotiating with international vendor/ clients.

2 to 3 years of engineering work experience in related work.

Ability and availability to travel globally

Excellent team player to support and serve global teams

High flexibility in assuming new responsibilities and take on new tasks.

Excellent communication skills

Strong dedication to the product and willingness to own it

Solid entrepreneurial thinking

How You’ll Make an Impact:

-Analyze customer specifications regarding the data modelling/ architecture requirements for High Voltage Plant business (EPC)

-Prepare implementation concepts and realize them including workflows, data exchange processes and interfaces in collaboration with customers, software experts.

-Present, communicate and coordinate these requirements and implementations with stakeholders, such as project discipline heads, domain experts, engineers, and management

-Build ontologies for domains, customers, tools as well as mapping ontologies based on standards for data connection and exchange with external partners.

-Collaborate with standardization experts to get information about new relevant standards
