Google Country Lead, Devices and Services Business Organization in Gurugram, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 15 years of experience in business development, product partnerships, or

partner management in a consumer technology area.

  • Experience in building and leading teams

  • Experience building networks in multinational organizations

  • Experience with profit and loss (P&L) management in businesses

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other equivalent advanced degree

  • Knowledge and experience in mobile phone sales, business development, or business strategy with Indian Retailers and Telecommunications carriers

  • Understanding of the industry's issues, an outlook for its growth, and a commitment to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization, to build bridges and to rally teams across organizational lines

The Devices and Services Business organization focuses on Google-branded hardware (e.g., Nest, Pixel, and others) and key subscription services (e.g. Google One). Our team is the business arm for Devices and Services, responsible for delivering the profit and loss (P&L) results and leading partnerships with our carriers, retailers, distributors, and enterprise verticals, including developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, marketing and merchandising, and overall market share goals.

Our team is also responsible for driving our direct to consumer sales via the Google Store, by driving retail rate recommendation in stores and by ensuring that our presence in-store and online is exceptional. We partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product and engineering, finance, and legal teams internally, and with our retail and carrier counterparts across these disciplines.

  • Build, execute, and refine a long-term growth strategy for the business, in unison with partners and other Google divisions and functions.

  • Build and manage a cross-functional team of strategic partner managers and account managers. Evaluate, prioritize, and drive opportunities from a strategic, financial, and operational perspective.

  • Structure proposals including partners benefits, goals, requirements, incentive structure, legal, and operational implications.

  • Build productive and synergistic relationships with internal stakeholders, including the country leadership team and a broad spectrum of other functions (e.g., marketing, finance, legal and compliance, operations, and go-to-market).

  • Lead ad-hoc projects focused on the strategic growth of the Devices and Services business. Engage with contract manufacturers and government organizations to develop and define new opportunities to scale Pixel in India.
