As a Control System Engineer (f/m/d) for Battery Storage Solutions, every day is not the same in your multicultural team. You will be responsible with your colleagues for the development of the best-fit-solutions in Energy Storage for our global customers and make a significant contribution to the energy transition. With our Siemens Energy-wide collaboration, we combine various sustainable solutions to increase our customer happiness.

As a control systems engineer (f/m/d), you will work in an international project team to develop customer-specific solutions and R&D standards for control systems. You will further be responsible to lead and accompany the developments through the system tests and, if necessary, also put the control system into operation.

Your new role – challenging and future- oriented:

  • Technical clarification of the process engineering requirements and interfaces of Battery, Inverter and auxiliary systems in new plants and service projects

  • Development of project-specific software solutions for closed and open loop

  • Creation of hardware specifications for the delivery of I&C components

  • Timely provision of functional software and hardware solutions while adhering to quality, budget and customer requirements

  • Support in the implementation of prototypes or R&D applications

  • Representation of the I&C department at customer meetings

  • Support with assembly and commissioning on site.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Control and systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or automation engineering.

  • Many years of professional experience in software engineering with SPPA-T3000, PCS7 or a comparable operating environment

  • Many years of professional experience in engineering and/or in the commissioning of control systems, preferably in the energy industry.

  • Good knowledge of modern control system hardware and integration.

  • Openness to new technologies and new ways of working

  • Willingness to take on responsibility and jointly implement innovative solutions in global, interdisciplinary teams.

  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus.
