Job Title: Certification Engineer

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years of experience with lighting certifications and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for lighting products (UL 1598 or UL 2108). This role involves conducting tests on lighting products to ensure compliance with UL regulatory standards, collaborating with product development teams to design products that meet certification requirements, maintaining accurate records of test results and certification documents, and basic electronic testing of components. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.

Hard Skills

  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree

  • 2-5+ Years of Experience in Lighting Certifications

  • Experience in Certification Testing for Lighting Products

  • Understanding of UL 1598, UL 2108

  • Electronic Testing Skills

  • Proficiency with Multi-meter, Caliper, Portable AC/DC Power Supply, Oscilloscope, Light Meter, Power Analyzer, Soldering Iron, Temperature Monitoring Equipment, and Thermal Couples

Soft Skills

The Certification Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and work within a dynamic team of 9 Engineers, including mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and technicians.
