Your Impact:

Reporting to the head of the India legal team, the successful candidates will support the Global Risk Management/legal team remotely with the following competencies:

· Take responsibility for a wide range of construction and services contracts, from bid stage to negotiation and completion, including contracts with clients, JV’s, guarantees, sub-contracts and confidentiality agreements.

· Review client contracts to determine if insurance-related requirements are acceptable, including insurance requirements, indemnification, liability, waivers, and advise or negotiate improvements in terms.

· Support the development and success of our joint ventures and other teaming agreements to establish and agree appropriate insurance requirements among teaming members, utilizing project specific insurance placements, where available.

· Support the annual renewal and administration of Jacobs insurance programs.

· Litigation support

· Engage with internal colleagues to obtain required underwriting data for placement of both corporate and project-specific insurance policies.

· Support pursuit teams’ evaluation and use of project-specific insurance needs.

· Develop and deliver tailored training sessions to develop the knowledge and understanding of risk and insurance.

· Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting as priorities shift.

Here’s what you’ll need :

A law degree and a minimum of 3 years of post -qualification experience.

· Knowledge and understanding of insurance policy wordings, insuring clauses, conditions and exclusions, specifically professional indemnity, and casualty insurances.

· Expert knowledge of liability, indemnity provisions, contractual risk transfer, and principles of tort and damages.

· A proven ability to review and negotiate contractual terms to ensure compliance with insurance requirements based upon Jacobs insurance programs.

· Familiarity with global insurance program structures.

· Knowledge of governmental entities and procurement processes

· Motivated to be part of a successful team, but also able to work independently.

· Clear ability to take initiative to define, analyze and effectively solve problems, seeking guidance as necessary, rather than waiting to be directed.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· demonstrate an ability to identify risk, good commercial awareness,

· clear and effective communication style, and

the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
