Location: Office-based role in Guildford (GU1 4SY) Mon - Fri 9-5pm

The Role

The Employer Solutions Consultant (Recruitment) provides a pivotal and valued service within the team by supporting the sustainable employment of disadvantaged people within our communities. You will build and maintain external relationships with employers and our customers by focusing on matching skillsets and values with local employment opportunities. Ideal for anyone with sales, business development, account management or recruitment experience.

You will be…

  • An advocate for Fedcap and the Restart Scheme, embedding a strong understanding of the benefits of sustainable employment and how we can support local businesses and our customers cohesively. This will be achieved through a collaborative and entrepreneurial approach.

  • Providing employers with high-quality and tailored services, including recruitment, with a variable focus on business development, sales and candidate preparation dependant on the employer and operational requirements.

  • Engaging with local businesses and employment initiatives to develop a portfolio of live vacancies.

  • Supporting customers in developing their skills and confidence in obtaining new sustainable employment, including candidate preparation prior to interview or job start

  • Identifying employment and other work-related opportunities with employers through marketing candidates directly into employers.

  • Delivering performance against agreed sales, service and quality KPI’s.

  • Supporting candidates to become self-sufficient in job search activity, through adopting coaching and mentoring approaches and working with small groups.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience of business development, account management, sales and meeting targets

  • Experience of working in a customer focused and service delivery environment

  • Knowledge of the local regional and national labour market

  • Understanding of employer’s needs, experience of training needs analysis (TNA’s) and organisational needs analysis (ONA’s), translating these in to fit-for-purpose programmes and services

  • Knowledge of legislative employment regulations including safeguarding.
