Compensation: $36.10 CAD per hour

Shift: Continental - Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday / Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Follow company policies (performance, safety, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

  • Perform administrative tasks including completing permits, parts ordering, and work order completion.

  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.

  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and open/close valves.

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4feet and above)

  • Ability to communicate in English (Verbal and Written)

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

  • Able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

  • Ability to operate machinery and/or Industrial equipment

  • Be in your 2nd year or higher of your Millwright apprenticeship.

  • Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic food safety knowledge

  • Knowledge of CFIA requirements for food manufacturing.

  • Experience in production related work

  • Forklift Certified

  • Inventory Systems knowledge
