Honeywell Sr Field Service Technician in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Achieves successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with the help of Engineering teams. You will make improvements to the training guides and documentation. You will achieve continuous improvement initiatives in the field to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will train the customer on proper usage, troubleshooting, and basic repair procedures for complex equipment. You will represent Honeywell at industry conferences and provide technical presentations.

Key responsibilities

  • Be the face of Honeywell to the customer and interact directly with end-users.

  • Use knowledge of end-to-end delivery of Honeywell solutions to enhance efficiencies.

  • Become a technical expert for complex Honeywell solutions/product offerings.

Local travel required within the island- 75%

US PERSON

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • High School diploma

  • 5+ years’ experience of mechanical Air Conditioning experience

  • Puerto Rico Refrigeration and Air Conditioning certification

  • EPA Certification – Universal Type

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Basic written & oral communication in English

WE VALUE:

  • Industry (commercial/pharmaceutical/hospital) experience

  • Technical/installation experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Good written and oral communication in Spanish

  • Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes

  • Computer experience (Microsoft Office and emails)

  • Ability to perform Quotes & Estimates for new mechanical opportunities

  • Certification (License) in refrigeration/ air conditioning from Puerto Rican college (Licencia del Colegio de Técnicos de Puerto Rico)

  • Mechanical Experience (AHU’s, DX cooling systems, Basic low temp equipment, Pumps, Cooling Towers & A/C unit’s maintenance, and cleaning)

  • Experience troubleshooting A/C Direct expansion units, chillers, pumps, and cooling towers.

  • Successful on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision.

  • Good presentation skills
