Specialist NVH & Rotordynamics

Description

  • Predict, evaluate, and analyse NVH behaviour and interaction on component and system level by physical and/or virtual tests (such as Modal Anlysis, Harmonic Response, Equivalent Radiated Power or Sound Radiation)

  • Development and ensurance of NVH properties, fulfillment of customer requirements

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and document all activities related to NVH tests regarding quality, time, and costs

  • Conduct or supervise pre-test simulations as part of validation process.

  • Review rotor dynamics design of existing or new developed components

  • Troubleshoot NVH performance issues and coordinate root cause analysis

  • Advise and support Engineering teams in NVH and Rotor Dynamics with analysis, troubleshooting and diagnosis of vibration design and behavior

  • Represent area of expertise in internal and external meetings and conferences

  • Ensure all product design and test standards are up to date and transfer knowledge to Engineers across the global Engineering teams in order to sustain skills, expertise and methodologies

Qualifications

  • Technical engineering degree or equivalent (preferable Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or comparable)

  • Proven track record of applying cross-domain knowledge of Acoustics (NVH) and Rotor Dynamics

  • Extensive understanding of rotor dynamic behavior with the ability to diagnose vibration issues and excitations, including, transfer path analysis, lateral and torsional study, stability, thermal stability, modal frequencies and aero-acoustics

  • Multiple year track record of performing acoustic testing and validation of mechatronic systems and/or components

  • Knowledge of system engineering (Requirements Engineer or System Validation) is an advantage

  • Experience with Automotive SPICE processes is an advantage

  • Willingness to travel (customer visits, test drives, testing at plants or external laboratories)

  • Good Business English language skills required, German preferred
