Intel Development Tools Software Engineer in Guadalajara, Mexico

Job Description

Intel's Engineering Excellence team develops and deploys engineering software solutions to more than 9000 engineers throughout 31 countries at Intel. Our team's mission is to provide engineers with world class tools, software, training and consulting services, enabling flawless execution and industry leading innovation at Intel.

We are looking for an energetic and creative engineer to be part of a growing, high-performance team focused on Intel engineering execution. The Development Tools Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining engineering software solutions such as common Computer Aided Design (CAD) libraries, software application distribution, and standards/process/training libraries.

Responsibilities of the Development Tools Software Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and manage 2D and 3D mechanical CAD objects in a global library of common parts.

  • Install, configure, test, and deploy CAD and Simulation software applications.

  • Provide customer service including, but not limited to, troubleshoot engineering software application issues.

  • Develop, audit, and manage engineering process documentation.

  • Develop and provide engineering software training and consulting services to global engineers.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications,

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.

  • 1+ year of experience working with PTC Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or equivalent 2D and 3D modeling capabilities.

  • 1+ year of experience working with PTC Windchill PDM Link.

  • 1+ year of experience working with 2D drafting, dimensioning, and tolerancing.

  • Intermediate to advanced English level.

  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.

Preferred qualifications,

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:

  • Basic experience with both Mechanical and Electrical Design.

  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

  • Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

  • Previous experience developing process and training material.

  • Familiarity with Cadence Allegro.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
