CNC Programmer Position:

Role Summary/Purpose

This highly skilled CNC programming role will lead creative and innovative solutions to help with process and programming improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create programs and processes while integrating industrial manufacturing methods in our Grove City Diesel Engine plant.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

  • Utilize a strong understanding of G/M Code, Mastercam, 3D design, and inspection software to program and optimize machining centers in the plant

  • Provide guidance and participate in the selection of manufacturing methods for existing and new machining processes

  • Create and improve programming standard methods

  • Act as a trainer for machine operators as well as other programmers

  • Evaluate, analyze and/or troubleshoot common machining or process defects, interfacing with machine/tooling vendors as needed.

  • Serve as lead in developing and implementing strategies for targeted equipment improvements, utilizing new and existing tooling and program technologies for both short and long-term solutions

  • Assist the maintenance and management team in process improvements while demonstrating and driving a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Technical Experience)

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Programming and Machine control systems

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of 3, 4 & 5 axis machining centers

  • Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and/or Mazatrol controls

  • Ability to train/mentor other team members through technical communications and / or classroom presentations

  • Independently able to complete machine, fixturing and tooling setups

  • CMM programming experience in PCDMIS and Camio languages

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Relocation lump sum may be provided if you meet eligibility requirements
