Job Title:Senior Account Manager, PU RMS Summary:As a Senior Account Manager for RMS polyurethanes, you will drive strategic initiatives and sales growth across the Americas (AMRS) region. Working within a seasoned team of Sales Account Managers, you will actively promote RMS polyurethane products, fostering collaboration with key functions like Marketing, Technology, Product Management, R&D, and Application Development. Your role extends to overseeing Automotive and Specialty accounts, where you will develop and execute global strategies in tandem with the broader team, leveraging Marketing and Technology to achieve sustained growth. Responsibilities Include: Responsible for strategic and sales growth for Polyurethanes in the Americas region Deliver on all sales, profitable growth, and new closed commitments by establishing and driving behaviors, metrics, and goals necessary for success Drive new business development in the Americas region to deliver/exceed AOP Manage and work with the Regional Segment Leader/PU Team, authorized distributors, and direct accounts for sales activities including competitor intelligence feedback Work with the Marketing/R&D team to provide the customers with on-site technical support Identify the business opportunities/risk and strategy Management and responsibility for performance metrics like forecasting, volume, revenue, standard gross margin, new target close, new product introductions (NPI) Work closely with customers to understand technical applications and promote the right PU products for both new and existing products Prepare and present sales reports and account plans as necessary, utilizing Momentive systems such as SAP, Arkieva (Forecast tool) Build in-depth product, application, and processing knowledge Build relationships with R&D, Procurement, and other relevant functions Develop business strategies to drive sustainable growth 30-50% travel required Qualifications: The following are required for the role Bachelor's degree 8+ years of commercial sales experience in a chemical-related industry (technical service/business development may be combined with sales experience) Experience in a sales management role with exposure to growth markets in the Americas Demonstrated project management skills with a history of completing high-quality work and meeting deadlines Able to express complicated concepts concisely to support our NPI introductions, and present them at all levels Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and lateral thinking, capable of using ideas and concepts from other markets and segments A strong cross-functional account manager able to foster teamwork and drive change throughout the organization Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix organization Strong decision-making and time-management skills Energetic, self-motivated, and strong team player Proficiency in MS Office applications, ERP, and CRM tools The following are preferred for this role Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a chemistry-related field Commercial sales experience in the Polyurethane Industry Experience working in a multinational company Proficiency in SAP and Salesforce.com Additional language skills (French and Spanish) The ideal location for this role would be in the Southeast, US.
