Job Opportunity: Direct Support Professional -- DSP -- Grove City with ARC Industries, Inc. in Columbus, OH
Are you a Direct Support Professional who enjoys working with participants with intellectual or developmental disabilities to live their life to the fullest and engage in their community? Are you looking for a supportive, caring team to work and grow with? If so, this is the opportunity for you!
Schedule: Part-time:  Monday through Friday 3pm-8pm, 20 hours a week
$18.00 an hour! Plus, $1.50 Shift Differential!

As a DSP, you are expected to demonstrate a desire to create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to celebrate their achieved outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support participants by assisting with daily living activities to male and female participants, maintaining health and personal hygiene (i.e., continence care, dressing, eating, transferring participants, etc.)
  • Uphold the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served as well as promote independence and self- advocacy skills. Teach new hard and soft skills in a variety of settings
  • Responsible for transporting participants to and from the Adult Day Services via large transportation vans/ shuttle buses

To be a Direct Support Professional, you must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in related field preferred, but not required
  • Able to work independently and exercise problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen
