Amentum Submarine Technical Support Center (STSC) Logistics Specialist in Groton, Connecticut

Amentum is actively seeking a Logistics Specialist to provide a variety of logistics tasks such as supply support, configuration management, and data management in support of components, equipment, and/or systems. The position will be in Groton, CT.

Essential Responsibilities include;

  • Provide support for fleet logistics assistance requests. Requests typically are received via telephone or message traffic and require research of logistics support documents and databases in determining the identification of parts and their availability

  • Assess availability and validity of onboard system technical manuals, spares, and provide reports

  • Perform shipboard ILS validations and verifications. Submit appropriate forms to document configuration changes

  • Assist in inspection, receipt, loading, transportation, and parts issue of tools and equipment

  • Support Total Ships Readiness Assessments (TSRA)

  • Track TSRA logistic discrepancies by developing and preparing TSRA deficiency documents

  • Support Alteration Installation Team (AIT) including dockside, at-sea, pre- and post-modernization, or installation testing if requested

Minimum Requirements:

  • Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of full-time experience in submarine fleet logistics support including experience in the fleet introduction, installation, and test, operation, and life cycle support of electrical, or electronics systems and equipment.

  • General Experience: Four (4) years of full-time experience in Navy ILS and system life cycle support areas. This experience shall include each of the following Navy ILS components in support of submarine or naval ship, electrical, or electronic systems:

  • Maintenance Planning

  • Manpower, Personnel, and training support

  • Supply Support

  • Test Equipment Support

  • Technical logistic data

  • Packing, handling, storage, and transportation

  • Design and installation

  • Configuration Management

  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines

  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a government driving permit

  • Position may require travel

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
