Job Description

Looking For:An Engineer Technical Specialist with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements to join our team in Groton, CT!

As an Engineer Technical Specialist, you will:

  • Apply your knowledge as a Engineer Technical Specialist to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines.

  • Work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals.

    A week in the life of an Engineer Technical Specialist:

  • Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans,

  • Review system, software, and hardware test procedures.

  • Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.

  • Validate requirements.

  • Audits of computer software units.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering discipline.

  • Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

At least 7 years of experience in:

  • US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems.

  • Computer programming

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
