What can we do together?

The Vendor Account Manager (VAM) is accountable for the strategic development and the overall operational performance of our Technical Outsourcing. The VAM is the primary interface for all supplier management related aspects between HPI and the Supplier.

Customer Support Field & Channel operations has developed Strategic Suppliers in European Markets, to outsource all onsite technical support activities. The business scope covers Print & Personal System, for Commercial transactional (warranty & Trade) and contractual (MPS & DaaS).

The associated amount of yearly spends is in the range of +150M$.

This position is to manage Suppliers in the MS IMACD area..

The VAM will connect with other Markets and Global functions to influence the development of Global footprint and the Global Supplier Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Contract & Relationship management

  • Negotiate and complete contracts and business agreements with supplier.

  • Be the key interface between HP and the vendor to keep vendor informed on developments in HP or changes in market conditions that might affect demand for vendors' services.

  • Partner with supplier in forward-thinking strategic development and relationship building.

  • Organize regular Business Review sessions with HP and vendor executives.

Performance & Business Management

  • Overall responsible for operations of supplier. Tracks and analyses vendor performance and generate reports to business executives.

  • Work with the HP Supplier Account Mgr in each country to collect and validate the data points.

  • Negotiate acceptable contracting outcomes using custom solutions.

  • Ensure problem resolutions are achieved without compromising the relationship with HP customers and with vendor.

  • Perform business analysis, identifies root cause, and develops recommendations/ solutions to drive business improvements.

  • Develop strategies and enforce them for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost reduction and operations improvement.

Financial & Quantitative analysis

  • Develop and utilize business and financial modelling & reporting tools.

  • Manage overall tracking & reporting of supplier's activity and financial data.

  • Develop continuous improvement plan to always target cost reduction.

  • Design and manage incentive approach towards suppliers.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop detailed understanding of how the interrelationship of processes, technologies, and people create results and how to create mutually beneficial opportunities in developing the partnership between HP and the vendor.

  • Understand the vendor competitive landscape; evaluate potential vendors using criteria such as industry experience, sustainability, capacity, quality standards and financial stability; collect benchmark data to support strategic sourcing decisions and to challenge supplier.

  • Meet with Stakeholder business executives to discuss impact of strategic development on overall business and to develop forward-thinking strategies.

Transformation

  • Innovate complex business models, drive associated strategies, and influence the environment.

  • Develop and drive capabilities roadmap to integrate future delivery model.

  • Build a 3 years plan to further optimizations.

  • Lead some transformation initiatives.

Who you are?

  • Master's Degree in Procurement.

  • Significant experience in the related field of support/services.

  • +5 years' experience in Global Procurement. Extensive experience in authoring contracts, amendments, SOW and RFQ's.

  • Extensive experience in vendor management and the related skills of budget control, performance analysis and contract management.

  • Strong relationship management and collaborative approach.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Project Management skills.

  • Demonstration of resilience & tenacity.

  • Must be able to negotiate and collaborate with vendors at many different levels.

  • Must be able to represent HP and its business unit to outside and report to HP executives.

  • Must be able to manage the specific implications of strategic partnership.

  • High analytical qualities to monitor and review vendors' financial and operational performances.
