Farnsworth Group Electrical Project Engineer/Designer in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer/Designer in our Greenwood Village, CO (Denver DTC) office. We have an immediate opening for a mid to senior-level Electrical Design Engineer within our Denver Electrical team. This role would lead the day-to-day production of commercial, municipal, advanced manufacturing and technology, and other technically complex projects. Job Activities: Assume multi-project responsibilities for full Electrical design, including Power distribution, Lighting, Telecommunications, and Renewable Energy Systems for Buildings, Cleanrooms, and electrical MV systems design for advanced manufacturing and technology markets (semiconductor, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food & beverage). Candidate will actively engage in and assume responsibility for: Code research and application Fieldwork to ascertain existing conditions. Preliminary schematics through final designs Calculations Equipment specification, sizing, and layout Coordination with other production staff Preparation of accurate Electrical system construction drawings and specifications submittal review and construction administration. Candidate will interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors and maintain project design budgets and schedules while pursuing quality. This role includes responsibility for mentoring engineers, designers, and drafters. This role reports to a technical manager, who will also provide mentoring and training opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Specific Requirements include: Electrical engineer/designer with 4-12 years of experience in technically complex system design. BS in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineer License (PE) is preferred Wide range of design experience, including industrial Power and MV systems. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with others and work on multiple, simultaneous projects. Ability to solve complex power engineering problems. Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of codes and standards associated with electrical power, including National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and applicable IEEE Standards. Ability to pass background checks and willingness to comply with immunization requirements that our industrial clients may require to access their facilities. Ability to complete occasional travel to client sites in support of projects. NCEES Record holder preferred. Knowledge of Navisworks software preferred. Knowledge of SKM PowerTools or ETap preferred.
