General Labor - Indirect

Job Description:

The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment and ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform work within takt/cycle time

  • Perform work per work instructions

  • Provide and process movement of material to point of use

  • Keep work area clean by disposing empty boxes and cardboard, as well as keeping material around the assembly line in order and neat

  • Inform proper personnel of material shortage

  • Check in and place materials from other cells

  • Operate forklift

  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area

  • Practice 5Ss

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints

  • Basic math skills

  • Knowledge of JDE Material Handler Menu

  • Certified forklift operator

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in material handling
