POSITION SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Hospice and is responsible for the development, maintenance and compliance of the hospice volunteer program.
Recruitment, training and retention of hospice volunteers
Volunteer scheduling, monitoring and supervision of activities
Develop, update and maintain department policy and procedures
Department record keeping and reporting
Works closely with hospice interdisciplinary team
Participates in community relations including public speaking
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Baccalaureate degree with a minimum of one-year applicable experience.
Management of volunteers and/or hospice experience preferred.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations preferred.
Previous administrative and/or supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of the use of laptop computer, Microsoft programs, printer, copier, fax, and telephone (Knowledge and Comfortable with computer programs important)
Valid SC driver’s license, automobile insurance and ability to travel within the service area (Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, Anderson and Laurens counties)
Primary hours Monday - Friday 830 - 5pm. Occasional Evening and Weekends for events.
