What You Will Be Doing

As a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager on our F-16 Production Engineering Team, you will lead critical structural assembly, FACO, and flightline operations. Based in Greenville, you'll collaborate with Production Operations leaders to ensure seamless execution of the build schedule. Your role will be instrumental in driving efficiency, quality, and performance within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee structural assembly, FACO, and flightline operations on the 2nd shift, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

- Provide guidance, mentoring, and development to the Manufacturing Engineering team, serving as a subject matter expert in manufacturing processes.

- Utilize RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) techniques to address and resolve issues promptly, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

- Participate in new employee selection and provide input on resource requirements to optimize team performance.

- Operate within P/L (Profit/Loss) parameters to ensure cost-effective delivery of quality products on time, meeting customer expectations.

- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting odd shifts and working additional hours as needed to meet business demands.

-Will provide leadership oversight & support as required for 2nd shift MTE, but will not have MTE direct reports

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or 7 years experience in absence of Bachelors Degree

• Leadership experience

• Aerospace manufacturing experience

• Documented RCCA experience

• Experience in Production Engineering, Production Operations, or Quality

• Experience with solving complex problems and delivering results

Desired Skills:

• 8+ years aerospace experience

• Current secret clearance or ability to obtain one

• 5+ years of technical management experience

• F-16 Flight Ops experience

• Earned Value Management experience

• Experience presenting to large groups of employees, customers, and site leadership

• Experience managing teams of engineers in the aerospace industry or as lead engineer supporting multiple employees and customers

• Experience supporting transition from initial production to rate

• Project Management experience

• Lean Manufacturing experience (yellow / green / black belt)

• Must be willing to work extended hours in support of program needs as needed

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while interfacing with program representatives; internal and external customers; and stakeholders across the enterprise

• Understanding of aerospace standards (AS9100 & ISO9001), concepts, and processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
