Lockheed Martin C-130J Field Service Engineer-Airframe & Powerplant Staff-Hawaii in Greenville, South Carolina

Description: Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment as

a C-130J Airframe and Power-plant General (APG) Field Service Engineer (FSE)! This position is located at a customer operating site in Hawaii.

The FSE will advise/assist the customer on all matters pertaining to maintenance, inspection, logistics, and operation of the C-130J aircraft with emphasis on organizational level inspection, maintenance and repair.

This position requires extensive C-130J aircraft experience with regard to the structures, power-plant and installed mechanical systems and a general knowledge of all aircraft systems.

Other responsibilities include:

• Experience in troubleshooting, operation, modification and inspection methods relative to the installed systems is essential. Position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels; excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required.

• Tasks include but are not limited to the following: Provide on-site/on-equipment engineering assistance and technical advice including investigation, engineering analysis and interpretation of results to customer personnel.

• Assistance to the customer will be provided on all aspects of equipment operations including installation, maintenance and operation techniques, adjustment, calibration, trouble shooting, bench check, routine maintenance, inspection and intermediate level repair.

• Provide advice in the identification of and instruction on the use of special tools, handling equipment and test equipment associated with the C-130J aircraft.

• Provide advice and assistance on the use and interpretation of technical orders, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other related technical publications.

Provide on-going surveillance of shop maintenance and safety practices

• Provide technical advice and recommend corrective measures necessary to ensure adequate maintenance and safety procedures are followed to minimize future problems.

• Assist the customer in troubleshooting of unusual and difficult maintenance issues associated with C-130J aircraft. Analyze maintenance problems and suggest improvements where indicated.

• Provide liaison between customer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) on related maintenance and operational problems.

• Provide liaison through which information related to maintenance and operational problems can be quickly disseminated to operational and maintenance personnel.

• Must be a United States citizen.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• C-130 Aircraft systems operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience;

• Experience on C-130J Model Airframe, Mechanical, and Power plant Systems;

• Flight line experience with US Government and/or Foreign Military Customer Operational Sites

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

• C-130J DTADS operations knowledge and experience

• C-130J Electrical/Avionics Troubleshooting and System Knowledge

• Planning and scheduling experience of approved maintenance program for aircraft maintenance

• Demonstrated experience with effectively interfacing with international aircraft operators

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
