Lockheed Martin Avionics Technician, F-16 - Level 4 in Greenville, South Carolina

Description: What You Will Be Doing

This position will support F-16 modification. repair and overhaul currently being completed at Spangdahlem Germany. The home office is located in Greenville South Carolina. It may require domestic and international travel, but you will be permanently assigned to Spangdahlem Germany. Must be able to obtain and maintain passport for international travel. Additional requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Modifies, services, repairs, & overhauls F-16 aircraft electrical & avionics system to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces & rebuilds aircraft electrical/avionics system & components.

- Performs operational checks, pre/post modification/upgrade/overhaul testing, troubleshoots & repairs aircraft electrical & avionics systems as required.

- Work typically requires a detailed understanding of electrical/avionics circuits and components. Uses complex test instrument and computer control equipment. Work will be reviewed by supervisor and/or Quality for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance.

- Selected candidate must have experience with understanding technical requirements on fighter type aircraft.

- Candidate must be able to read/understand Technical Orders, Wiring Diagrams, Drawings and Work books.

- Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.

- Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills.

- Must read, write and speak English fluently.

- Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead.

- This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.

- This position is contingent upon being granted NATO SOFA approval from the German Authorities.

- This position is an unaccompanied assignment. If NATO SOFA status is approved, you would be able to bring spouse at your expense.

Basic Qualifications:

- Candidate must be high school graduate or equivalent

- Candidate must have been awarded a 7-Skill level in USAF AFSC, Navy NEC or Marine MOS rating or an equivalent Airframe and Power plant FAA certificate

- Candidate must meet one of the following experiences:

- Bachelor's Degree with 3 yrs.

- Associates Degree with 7 yrs.

- No degree with 11 yrs.

These requirements are mandated by the German Gov't in order to be eligible for NATO SOFA status and be able to be provide proof/verified.

Desired Skills:

- F16 Nose to Tail experience in either E&E or Avionics career fields

- F16, F22, F35 avionics/electrical experience

- Prior Aircraft Modification and Maintenance Experience

- Microsoft Office Suite Skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
