The Greenville, North Carolina, USA site is a large, multipurpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus. The operation provides both development and commercial services for sterile injectables and oral solid dose forms.

Position summary:

Perform detailed repair as needed to avoid replacement of equipment or modules within the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs on various systems, components and equipment from written instructions, sketches, plans, diagrams, oral descriptions, or self-determined job requirements based on observed conditions.

  • Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests, or inspections performed.

  • Prioritize multiple repairs in support of the manufacturing organization.

  • Maintain and upgrade technical and nontechnical skills by participation in company and outside training programs.

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.

  • Work will be non-routine and based on the immediate needs of the department. The work demands of the job may change as any moment of the day and the employee with have to adjust to those demands.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required, with four (4) years of equipment maintenance experience or five (5) years of electrical/electronic experience required.

  • Associate’s degree preferred, with 2-3 years of experience.

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related major preferred, with a minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience.

  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred.

  • Ability to troubleshoot problematic equipment and various electrical component systems without schematics.

  • Proficiency in the use of highly technical diagnostic and test equipment.

  • Knowledge of electronic component recognition and operation.

  • Skilled in problem analysis, planning and organization.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and teamwork skills.

  • Reading and comprehension of blueprints, manuals, and training materials.
