Job Description

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Sr Manager, Supply Chain and lead innovation to improve global health and safety through development of best in class supply chain processes.

What will you do?

  • Manage the order fulfillment cycle, from customer forecasts to delivery, for both Manufacturing and Packaging.

  • Develop, optimize, and implement inventory strategies based solely on demand plans.

  • Steer the capacity loading of the plant cost-effectively, proactively anticipating bottlenecks and developing capacity and stock plans.

  • Analyze and bring up capacity conflicts, addressing or advancing conflicts to key collaborators.

  • Efficiently meet performance targets for demand supply chain.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to optimize supply chain activities through supplier integration tools.

  • Implement training to elevate the DSC organization to meet customer needs.

  • Manage customer/supplier demand supply chain interfaces.

  • Develop and implement an integrated Sales and Operations Plan, organizing and leading monthly S&OP meetings.

  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma, Lean, and standard methodologies.

  • Develop and maintain demand and capacity models to guide M&S on new business and scenario planning.

  • Set inventory strategies and manage inventory to targeted levels, partnering with procurement teams.

  • Develop and implement the Sales & Operations Plan, ensuring accurate manufacturing and packaging schedules.

  • Implement and maintain systems to monitor and update planning and scheduling master data.

  • Represent the demand supply chain function in customer meetings related to capacity, supply chain integration, new products, and improvement opportunities.

  • Manage the DSC planning team, mentoring and developing staff.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Science, Finance, or Business.

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree preferred.

  • APICS (CIPM and/or CSCP) certification or equivalent.

Experience

  • 6+ years of leadership experience in Demand Supply Chain, Materials Management, Logistics, Industrial Technology, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency with SAP ERP systems, particularly in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Production Scheduling.

  • Understanding of advanced planning solutions like APO or OM Partners.
