(HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Leader to assist our Berea, KY or Greenville, NC plant by providing leadership and guidance to the Continuous Improvement Team.

Who you are:

  • An expert in manufacturing process design of mixed model assembly and fabrication processes.

  • Someone who can recognize opportunities and can lead teams to execution

  • Experienced in data analysis pertaining to manufacturing systems

  • Successfully implemented automation in a fabrication and assembly processes

What you will do:

  • Lead team designing mixed model lines that are not mix and option dependent. While maintaining efficiency

  • Lead team develop processes that are highly optimized from asset utilization ,an ergonomic impact to associates, and elimination of non value added activities beyond what are typical industry practices.

  • Provide leadership to direct and indirect reports including performance management, associate relations, and associate development.

  • This role will be a key leader in the Americas Division Manufacturing Transformation Program

  • Lead project management and technical oversite teams implementing significant automation investments.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (technical field) preferred or Associates degree and 7-10 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing. Degree required.

  • 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent education

Skills, Experience & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead groups

  • Robust knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and problem solving

  • Significant analytical ability to resolve complex problems

  • Excellent skills in planning/organizing and time management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of multiple processes such as machining, welding, assembly techniques, time studies, automation, PLC, machine logic, torque tooling, computer applications.
