Behavior Technician/ Registered Behavior Technician

Description:

At Butterfly Effects our Behavior Technicians / Registered Behavior Technicians work with children on the autism spectrum, providing ABA services both one on one and in groups in homes, schools, community, and even clinics.

Applied Behavior Analysis is used in sessions to aid in client progress by encouraging positive behavior changes that will help them become more successful and independent now and in the future.

Technicians work directly with clients building rapport, and assisting with daily activities, implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisitions based on that clients' specific needs. These activities will allow the client to develop skills like communication, sharing, self-care and more.

Hours:

  • This is a Part-Time permanent opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child and their family's lives. (10-20 hours/week)

  • We require minimum 3-day consistent availability during the week (M-F)

  • Sessions are held between 3-7pm (subject to change based on needs)

    Salary and Benefits:

  • $18-20 per hour based on experience and education

  • $21-$24 Based on RBT certifications and education in the ABA field.

  • Paid 40-hour RBT training course (based on market)

  • Paid drive time between sessions for field technicians.

  • Growth:

  • We will give the opportunity to grow towards gaining your registered Behavior Technician Certification (RBT) as well as gaining Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification (BCBA) with guidance and financial assistance.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Education - Minimum High school diploma or equivalent

  • Reliable Transportation - We also require a valid driver's license and Auto insurance be provided to ensure safe and prompt arrival to client homes.

  • Web enabled device (laptop/tablet)- for completing hiring process as well as note taking during sessions.

  • A successful candidate will have:

  • Empathy

  • Critical Thinking skills

  • Communication skills

  • Patience

    Potential Physical Demands:

  • Working with clients in their natural environments may require you to lift or move approximately 50 lbs. and be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.

    Hiring Process:

    Our company requires a video interview to discuss qualifications and fitness for the role.

    Candidates extended an offer to join the team will then complete the pre-hiring process with our HR team to complete necessary paperwork, documents, etc. before beginning their 40-hour RBT training course through our training department (unless previously completed).
