RESPONSIBILITIES:

Timekeeping:

  • Reviews data elements associated with work schedules, shift differentials, supervisor changes, delegates, and time off accruals in the timekeeping system for permanent and contingent employees for accuracy

``` - Researches and resolves discrepancies and processes time correction entries

``` - Audit, balance and validate exported hours from timekeeping system and imported hours into payroll system

Payroll:

  • Reviews the accuracy of the data elements associated with new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, rate changes, retroactive adjustments, and wage garnishments in the payroll system

``` - Interprets, sets up and processes all wage assignments accurately ensuring deduction calculations abide by all federal and state garnishment laws.

``` - Prepares, validates, and reconciles Excel uploads for special payments, reportable items and grossed up values into the payroll system

``` - Performs calculations of gross to net and net to gross

```{=html}

``` - Reviews, processes, and validates NSO and RSU stock, ESPP, NQDC, 401k, relocation, bonuses and other reportable fringe benefits

``` - Processes payrolls via Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG), formerly Ultimate Software: UltiPro, for multiple Pay Groups and FEINS

``` - Investigates and resolves issues related to the processing of payroll related information

``` - Corrects payroll related errors including, but not limited to Direct Deposit transactions, PTO accruals, Benefits deductions, employee information changes, etc.

``` - Process voids, reversals, stop payments and direct deposit reversals, as needed

```{=html}

``` - Process timely ACH, Wire or PayCard payments to terminated employees, per state laws

```{=html}

``` - Processes and/or produces off-cycle manual checks as required

```{=html}

``` - Completes employment and wage verifications as requested by third parties with proper written consent from the employee or former employee.

``` - Responsible for various standard and ad hoc reports and projects as assigned.

Internal Controls/SOX Governance:

  • Ensures required documentation is maintained for audit and SOX purposes

``` - Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned payroll processes

``` - Prepares variety of payroll reports in compliance with SOX controls requirements

``` - Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors

```{=html}

``` - Acts as a liaison with internal auditors for routine and annual payroll related audits

``` - Demonstrates an understanding of compliance and ethics program policies and procedures.

``` - Maintains appropriate degree of confidentiality.

``` - Completes all mandatory compliance, HIPAA and state and federal regulatory training required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experienceand a good math/accountingaptitude required

``` - Minimum 5 years pay oll experience in multi FEINS, multi-state payroll of 3000+ employees

``` - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.

``` - Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment

``` - Solid understanding of Payroll Processing and all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws

``` - Experience using automated Payroll systems and utilizing a third-party payroll provider

``` - Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and confidentiality

``` - Demonstrate high standards of customer service and excellent follow-up skills

``` - Strong analytical and math skills to identify issues and problem solve

``` - Critical thinker to identify areas of improvement and recommend process improvements

``` - Ability to read and interpret data, information and documents and assess reasonableness

``` - Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

``` - Intermediate Excel skills using pivot tables and V-lookups

``` - Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite

``` - Must be able to work flexible hours to meet payroll deadlines

PREFERRED SKILLS/PREREQUISITES:
