Description

Responsible fordefining and executing Brady Parts product strategy, including product line management, strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory management and procurement, for 40+ lines of parts, supplies, and ancillary equipment for the Companys nine stores and e-commerce platform. In addition, this role also oversees all inside sales support, special-order sourcing, selection, and order placement for the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • Analyzes and prepares inventory forecasts and reports; reviews purchasing history
  • Defines and implements stock and sales strategies for parts, supplies, and ancillary equipment product lines
  • Evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed
  • Identifies new product lines and onboarding strategies
  • Leads product and procedure training efforts for staff and customers
  • Develops seasonal range plans that cover operations, financial performance, and growth.
  • Conducts market price and product needs analyses
  • Builds and develops relationships with key suppliers and customers
  • Meets with vendors to negotiate improved pricing, product quality, and delivery.
  • Administers stock returns and maintain inventory turns.
  • Evaluates stock quantities, adjusts stock levels, and selects items for weekly orders.
  • Responsible for all aspects of inventory control including replenishment, stocking, cycle counting, and full physical inventory activities.
  • Sets work priorities by reviewing area performance and comparing with short and long-term goals.
  • Oversee commodity purchasing and sales efforts
  • Works with and supports the Inside Sales, Counter Sales, Territory Manager, and Business Development Manager teams to drive sales growth and implement product promotions
  • Leads cataloging and works with E-Commerce Coordinator to promote product awareness efforts
  • Design and implement new store merchandising strategies
  • Experience working with Trane products preferred
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORK HOURS:Monday thru Friday overtime/weekends as required

The physical demands of the position include occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling and reaching; frequent standing, balancing and gripping; and constant walking. Material handling demands include lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs., frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., and constant lifting up to 10 lbs., placing the position in the Heavy Physical Demand Classification (PDC). Must be able to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and a ility to adjust focus.

This position works in a typical parts store/warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of product sourcing experience in the distribution industry, preferable HVAC parts and equipment, or other construction or industrial supply segments.
  • Proficiency with computer devices, including laptops and smartphones, with the ability to learn new software applications
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Ability to prove US employment eligibility
