Description We are in the market for a Controller to join our team in the construction/contractor industry, located in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, from financial analysis and forecasting to payroll, benefits, and budgeting. The successful candidate will be adept at collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial analysis, forecasting, payroll, benefits, HR, and budgeting.

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Conduct regular account analysis and monthly reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.

• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

• Manage the implementation and maintenance of accounting software systems.

• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.

• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

• Manage both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

• Maintain a strong knowledge of Construction financial management and GAAP principles and practices.

• Exhibit proficiency in using accounting software such as Simpro and QuickBooks.

• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Pay attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

• Show strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Display the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Requirements • Must possess skills in Journal Entries, Certified Payroll, Construction Accounting, and Construction

• Thorough understanding of construction industry and its financial implications

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various departments within the organization

• Strong analytical abilities to handle large amounts of data and identify trends

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations

• Proficient in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications

• Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team

• Must have strong decision-making skills

• Excellent problem-solving abilities to handle any discrepancies or issues that arise

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in performing job functions

• Exceptional organizational skills for maintaining financial records and managing budgets

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
