Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Research and Extension Farm Operations, this position will serve the administrative needs for the University Farm, Farm Pavilion and the soon to be constructed Urban Food Complex. Associated duties in this position include, but are not limited to planning activities, database management, records administration, answering phones, ordering equipment and supplies, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

The University Farm is a vital component of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, which is the oldest academic unit at North Carolina A&T State University. The primary purpose of the farm is to provide resources in the form of land, animals, water, personnel, expertise, equipment and facilities to researchers conducting studies in agriculture and serve as an outdoor laboratory for the CAES . The University farm is a 492 acre unit owned by the university with 15 permanent employees, 2-4 temporary employees and numerous student employees; annually and seasonal.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred:

Two year degree, with at least one year of related office experience, or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
