GREENFIELD Building Monitor Job Description DUTIES: Oversee the coming and going of students and parents; Assure safety outdoors with traffic; Oversee outdoor activities, noticing staff assignments and location of students; keep principal advised of adequate coverage; Oversee lunchtime with students, noticing staff assignments and location of students; keep principal advised of adequate coverage; Assist the administrative assistant with coordinating dismissal plans (reviewing dismissal notes, tracking changes, creating bus lists, etc.) Generally monitor the care of interior and exterior school building(s) assigned; keep principal advised of possible hazard/ repair needs; Assist with required emergency exit drills and plans; assure adequate postings related to building use and evacuation; Work with principal on monitoring visitors and escorting students and visitors; Help monitor the inflow of known adults and strangers for events in general; Assist the administrative assistant with attendance monitoring, during slow times in the morning; Other duties related to building and grounds monitoring; Other duties as assigned. SALARY: Per GEA Unit C contract HOURS: Full-time (10 month position) Position Type:Full-time Positions Available: QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma/college degree preferred; Experience monitoring or managing people or responsibilities; Ability to use a computer for data input and chart development; Ability to be standing for 6-8 hours/day; Positive interaction style with adults and children; Dependability, care with details, good attendance, confidentiality; Such reasonable alternatives as deemed acceptable. At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Associate degree preferred.
