About the position: We’re looking for Strategic Sourcing Analyst who is a forward-thinking business line manager responsible for negotiating agreements with suppliers to obtain materials at the lowest total cost while ensuring quality, delivery, and responsiveness. You may also provide support to various commodities/sub-commodities. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing commodity strategies, which support corporate and divisional objectives, as well as managing day to day activities to support ongoing production activities
  • Based upon market trends; identify, evaluate, and select best-in-class suppliers.
  • Deliver cost reduction objectives through negotiation/resourcing/Engineering Collaboration.
  • Drive supply base consolidation efforts cross-functionally using effective supplier transition plans.
  • Integrate closely with New Product Development to ensure technology, price, and schedule objectives are met in support of new product introductions.
  • Identify, analyze, and track key underlying raw material commodities as related to supplier product pricing to better negotiate and manage product costs.
  • Lead cross-functional commodity teams in the supplier selection and supply base management processes.
  • Work in concert with Supplier Quality to resolve ongoing quality and warranty issues with the supply base.
  • Serve as business line manager for all commercial procurement issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the supply chain.
  • May engage sources in low-cost countries in support of business objectives and supports ongoing activities with foreign-based production supply partners.

About the schedule: This position onsite in our Greene, NY Corporate Offices and may be eligible for a hybrid schedule upon completion of completion of orientation period.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required – Supply Chain, Business, Analytics
  • 0-2 years of related experience

  • Strong communication skills - clear and concise in both verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate cross functionally across all levels of organization and with suppliers
  • Ability to be a self-starter who is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker
  • Excellent planning, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and able to learn Company-specific systems.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, experience modifying and negotiating contracts
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $60,406 - $72,301 per year. Compensation commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.

Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.
