Position Summary

The Associate Scientist will execute assigned tasks associated with secondary research, bench and mogul formulation development and assessment with quality, speed and efficiency for multiple projects in the portfolio. The Associate Scientist will gain familiarity with various aspects of the product development process in a regulated environment, including topics such as Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiment (DOE), and compliance with regulatory guidelines all while maintaining a patient first culture.

The Role

  • Execute against assigned formulation lab activities with quality, speed and efficiency to ensure on-time delivery

  • Consistent execution of individual tasks related to formulation development, data analysis and good documentation practices

  • Assist in aspects of complex formulation problem solving and formulation development

  • Assist in the develop and troubleshoot of formulations and assessment techniques in a timely manner

  • Communication of project assignment status and timely escalation of issues

  • Operate under and maintain GMP/GLP conditions

  • Working knowledge on various equipment and systems associated with development activities

  • Perform other duties as required.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field required, preferably food or pharmaceutical science.

  • Experience in a formulation development role in a lab setting preferred.

  • Experience working in a food/confectionary or pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility preferred.

  • Familiarity with typical formulation and analytical approaches for dietary supplement development.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Requires experience in troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential in dealing with people at all levels and in a variety of functional areas; able to influence and motivate others to quickly achieve results.
