ASRC Federal Holding Company Construction Quality Manager (supporting NASA, Goddard) in Greenbelt, Maryland

ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Quality Manager with significant construction experience to support our work at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt MD. This role is in support of the Repair, Operations, Maintenance and Engineering (ROME) contract. This program supports the facilities and construction requirements at both the Greenbelt and Wallops Island sites.

Goddard Space Flight Center has two main campuses, Greenbelt, MD, and Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The Greenbelt campus has 1,270 acres and includes 37 primary numbered buildings and numerous smaller ones, totaling approximately 3.5 million gross sq. ft. These include mission operations spaces, data centers, integration and test facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, and other functions. WFF is situated on 6,187 acres and includes a total of 250 buildings, of which 117 are dedicated to the mission of low‐cost NASA and commercial launches and runway airfield operations. WFF also houses the U.S. Navy as a tenant, and those facility needs are included under the ROME contract.

Key Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the management and NASA team to set quality benchmarks.

  • Assess contract standards and adjust in accordance with industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Identify quality control processes needed to ensure contract, customer and industry criteria are met at all times.

  • Execute tests to check final product adherence to quality control standards.

  • Record findings and relay this information to the team.

  • Responsible for making moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of job area while maintaining accuracy in quality.

  • Make crucial decisions in favor of cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.

  • Inspect deliverables and processes throughout the project life cycle to ensure a quality end product.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve program quality plans and procedures.

  • Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and government regulatory standards.

  • Review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies and data related to construction and O&M deliverables.

  • Investigate problems and develop dispositions and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

  • Lead, direct, and review the work of the quality control team.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, additional experience will be considered in lieu of education.

  • 8 + years of related quality assurance experience.

  • Prior experience as a quality manager in a construction environment favorable

  • Ability to pass background requirements for site access.

  • Familiar with industry quality standards and processes

  • Proficient in computer technology and systems including Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to positively influence others and lead by example

  • Great team player with strong interpersonal skills
