COUNTY OF BROWN Senior System Engineer in GREEN BAY, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary In this position, you will administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Teams, Intune and Exchange policies while maintaining a highly secure system through proper configuration and system access monitoring. You will work with other team members, vendors, and business partners to ensure the overall health, stability and accessibility of our MS cloud environment. This Senior System Engineer will administer all enterprise systems, including but not limited to Windows, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, MS Teams, One Drive, and SCCM. This can include planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of all applicable systems. Maintain highly reliable systems through proper configuration and regular system monitoring. Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them following established IT policies and procedures. Apply in-depth knowledge of system administration functions to perform and/or lead assignments or projects. Create and maintain system documentation for IT and end users. Solve problems of a complex nature and/or diverse scope. Work independently and receive minimal guidance on work assignments. To ensure success, you should exhibit solid knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, MS Office software, Windows operating system (including Active Directory), solve complex software issues and create a positive experience for end-users. Must exhibit expertise to result in smooth integrations, scalable SharePoint Websites that meet all organization design and functionality requirements, and efficient online collaboration. Essential Duties Ensure availability of mission critical services such as authentication, Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and access to network resources. Administers large deployments of Exchange environments and messaging systems, including MS Active Sync (handheld devices), Active Directory, IIS, Spam/Anti-virus filtering, and Clustering. Configuration, support, and administration of Exchange 2016, Active Directory, Windows Server 2016/2022 Datacenter, SQL 2016/2022, Veeam Backup, and Microsoft SharePoint technologies Perform on-site technical support for Microsoft Exchange 2016 Monitor Microsoft server performance, run routine server diagnostic tests, perform and monitor system backups, and perform cluster failovers Monitor Exchange message queues, resolve non-deliveries, and perform message tracking and record status/findings in daily operations log Create user accounts and mailboxes Perform mailbox moves and restores Assists in the development and upkeep of our M365 environment, subsystems and maintenances documentation. Teams and OneDrive Administrations, responsible for all configuration and support of Teams and OneDrive functionality to support the end user community. Intune Administrations, responsible for all configuration and support of MDM and MAM functionality to support the end user community. Power App Administrations, responsible for all configuration and support of Flows and Apps function to support the end user community. Azure Active Directory Administrations, responsible for all configuration and support of policies to support the end user community. Maintain and ensure the stability and reliability of enterprise systems. Handle installation, configuration, and ongoing support activities of all enterprise systems. Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues related to enterprise systems. Monitor systems using provided monitoring tools. Ensure integration across all systems Maintain documentation of best practices and support procedures. Lead testing and implementation of all enterprise systems Train and mentor tier 1 and 2 support resources Provide tier 2/ tier 3 support for escalations related to specified systems Seeks and participates in training opportunities in order to stay current on best practices Proactively research and recommend updates and upgra es to systems, analyze potential impacts, and implement as appropriate. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong contextual technical understanding including solutions design, deployment and migration Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems Well-organized and works independently with attention to detail Ability to make independent decisions but willing to seek advice from teammates or vendor partners Ability to provide mentorship to team members Strong digital workplace integration skills including: Microsoft 365 services suite, identity and security foundation, adoption of services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, etc. Knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell Scripting Ability to work well with departmental personnel and users. Ability to coordinate and/or lead multiple problems and projects. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work the required hours of the position.
