Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully. Our Place is an 18-bed Community-Based Residential Facility serving adults with mental health and/or emotional issues who are experiencing difficulty caring for themselves in an independent living environment. Our Place has a full time opening to join our team. A Mental Health Tech\'s primary duty is to provide emotional support and encourage residents to participate in activities, pass medications, ensure Individual Service Plans are followed and respect and support clients and team members. Duties also include some facility cleaning and food prep as well as being available for residents as needed. Shifts are 5:30am to 5:00pm working a 2-2-3 rotation and having every other weekend off. Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma or GED. Previous experience working with the chronically mentally ill and completed CBRF training is preferred for this position but not required. A valid driver\'s license is also preferred for this position. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with individuals with mental health issues in a supportive, team environment.
