JOB REQUIREMENTS: Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks, conveyors, or sorting bins. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using a computer or price list. Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Utilize inventory management software to track inventory movements, reconcile discrepancies, and generate reports for analysis. Implement best practices for inventory control, including organizing storage areas, labeling items, and implementing FIFO (first in, first out) principles. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory requirements, and optimize inventory turnover. Pull and prep parts for customer and production orders. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; associate\'s or bachelor\'s degree preferred. Previous experience in inventory control or related fields. Proficiency in inventory management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
