Weld County Government Training and Resource Specialist in Greeley, Colorado

The Ideal Candidate will be someone who has the following:

  1. Experience with CBMS/Programs.

  2. Experience teaching/coaching.

  3. Client-Centered focus.

  4. Comfortable with public speaking.

  5. Able to deliver highly complex information.

  6. Experience with training platforms or PowerPoint presentations.

  7. Skilled at troubleshooting CBMS cases and researching Rule.

  8. Ability to work independently or within a team.

  9. Strong written and oral communication

  10. Strong mentorship, and leadership skills

  11. Schedule management to include coordination of agendas and appointments.

$28.74 - $36.41 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab on the job posting). The position will normally start at $28.74 per hour.

As an applicant for this position, you should be aware of Senate Bill 19-085, the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The act requires employers to announce the pay range for job openings. This range encompasses the nine pay steps available should you receive the position and demonstrate satisfactory performance over time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful completion of a High School Diploma.

Four (4) years full-time business or clerical experience in an office environment which includes extensive customer service, telephone use and computer experience that includes data entry and Windows based navigation.

OR

Successful completion of a bachelor's degree may substitute for up to two years of the required work experience but not the experience determining eligibility.

Two (2) years of current experience in determining eligibility for public assistance programs including SNAP, and Cash and Medical programs in the Colorado Benefits Management System.

OR

Two (2) years of current training or teaching experience including material development, utilizing a variety of training platforms, may substitute for experience determining eligibility in CBMS.

Candidate must possess ability to keyboard at 35 words per minute.

Candidate must possess accurate 10 key ability.

Candidate must possess ability to use multiple data bases and computer programs.

Candidate must pass Human Services Background Checks.

Candidate must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License and adequate Liability Insurance.

Candidate must provide own transportation and be willing to travel throughout Weld County.

Candidate must possess the ability to enter data into several different computer programs.

Candidate must possess the ability to learn and apply new computer skills on a regular basis.

Candidate must possess the knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Windows and Word, Excel and Outlook.

Candidate must possess the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and department policies and procedures.

Candidate must possess the ability to write correspondence.

Candidate must possess the ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Candidate must possess the ability to apply math concepts and calculations in the work environment.

Candidate must possess the ability to apply common sense to problem solve in a work environment.
