JBS USA PROJECT MANAGER in Greeley, Colorado

Description:

The Project Manager will be critical in ensuring projects produce a high quality product and are performed on time, on budget and within scope (Mechanical, Electrical, and controls, etc…). The Project Manager will assist in ensuring projects align with the JBS Greeley Beef vision, mission and goals and will manage and monitor scope, milestones, tasks, timelines, dependencies, communications, budgets and expenses for multiple projects simultaneously. This position will work collaboratively within a team environment including key internal and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for completing job scopes for bidding. Manage construction and installation of improvements, working directly with contractors and plant personnel to complete projects on time without causing disruption to production at the facility. This position will insure safe work practices of contractors, following all OSHA and good construction practices, as well as local, state, federal laws. This position also oversee the facility maintenance team along with the project crews.

Requirements:

  • Education High School or Equivalent, Construction Management Degree, At least 5 years of industrial maintenance or construction.

  • Metal Fabrication and design experience a plus.

  • Understanding of OSHA construction guidelines, Including machine guarding, safe work practices during construction, Railing requirements, Elevated work practices, Hot work safe practices,

  • NFPA 70E guidelines for safe electrical work practices, Egress, Emergency lighting, PPE.

  • Must be available for off shift work, Weekends, possible long hours to exceed 12 or more hours.

  • Computer Skills needed to operate Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Power Point, Word, Microsoft Project, SAP, and Share Point.

  • Auto Cad experience a plus.

  • Good financial management must be able to keep track of payments and purchase orders of multi-million dollar projects, and multiple projects.

  • Good communication skills with the plant management team, corporate team, and Vendors (written and oral).

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

  • Strong team building and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Skilled in mentoring project team members and keeping teams organized, informed, focused, and on task.

  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining teams with clear roles and responsibilities.

  • Strong project management, risk and issue management, and long-term planning and scheduling skills.

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, lead and manage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment.

  • Skilled in understanding and navigating complex processes.

  • Skilled in determining scope and clarifying ambiguity.

  • Skilled in analytical/critical thinking and problem solving.

  • Skilled in project and performance reporting, process/performance improvement and change management skills.

  • Skilled in budgeting, time management and resource management.

  • Skilled in facilitating meetings with clear objectives and following-up with resulting action items.

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually and in a team environment.

  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies.

  • This position reports to the Plant Engineer and works with the Corporate Team, Plant Manager, Plant Operations Manager’s, Controller, maintenance departments, and purchasing. This is a high paced position that requires great attention to details.

Salary range: $74,221 - $126,176
