JBS USA LEAD PAYROLL SPECIALIST in Greeley, Colorado

Lead Payroll Specialist

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Lead Payroll Specialist to join our Corporate Payroll team at our office in Greeley, CO. Hours are semi-flexible between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in processing payroll runs biweekly in Kronos and SAP

  • Kronos data entry

  • Answer phone calls and emails from employees and HR staff regarding payroll matters

  • Data entry and upload processing into SAP for earnings, deductions, etc.

  • Coordinate and process off cycle payments

  • Enter correcting items from error report from pay card and financial fitness program

  • Maintain banking returns and stop payments

  • Assist with weekly reporting

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Windows applications

  • Excellent communication/customer service skills and ability to interact with customers at all levels

  • Knowledge of wage & hour laws and payroll concepts

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Self-starter, proactive, and focused

  • Highly organized and dependable

  • Kronos knowledge preferred

  • SAP knowledge preferred

  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; and

  • Base salary range of $22-$23/ hr ;
