Institute For Environmental Health, Inc. Instrumentation Chemist (Greeley, CO) in Greeley, Colorado

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for an Instrumentation Chemist position at its facility in Greeley, CO.

Ideal candidates will possess the following: - A BS or BA in Chemistry or related field (required) - Experience with HPLC testing of food matrices - Strong attention to detail - Proficiency with data entry and computer applications - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

Instrumentation Chemist duties will include: operating HPLC and GC instrumentation in a high throughput environment, as well as sample prep following various AOAC, AOCS methods for food matrices. This position would be working under our Lead Instrumentation Chemist and is responsible for troubleshooting instrumentation issues, assisting in bringing new methods on line following AOAC or other reference materials, recording results and making necessary calculations, evaluating and interpreting data, performing QC Tasks as assigned by Lab manager and QA manager, as well as other miscellaneous duties in the laboratory.

The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually.

Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave.

The laboratory operates 24/7, so applicants must be willing to work some weekends. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 8AM-4:30PM.
