Weld County Government Custodial Lead Worker - Sheriff's Office in Greeley, Colorado

The Weld County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Lead Custodian to work at the jail to manage the trustees with custodial duties.

Days/hours: Sunday through Thursday; 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK, POLYGRAPH, ERGOMED AND DRUG SCREEN

SUPERVISION RECEIVED Works under supervision of Custodial Foreman and the Support Services Director.

OPEN UNTIL FILLED. Applications will be reviewed weekly.

$21.38 - $27.08 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab on the job posting). The position will normally start at $21.38 per hour.

As an applicant for this position, you should be aware of Senate Bill 19-085, the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The act requires employers to announce the pay range for job openings. This range encompasses the nine pay steps available should you receive the position and demonstrate satisfactory performance over time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must direct employees placed under the responsible charge of this position. Assist in the performance of the duties assigned to the work force.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Sweep, mop, scrus, and vacuum hallways, stairs and office space. - Wax and polish floors. - Empty trash and garbage containers. - Notifiy management concerning need for minor repairs or maintenance needs. - Keep assigned work area stocked with proper supplies. - Experience using a carpet extractor a plus. - Perform related work as required.

Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Janitorial/custodial experience preferred but not required.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office prohibits employees from having visible body markings (including but not limited to tattoos, body art, and branding) on the head, face, neck, hand and fingers (any area below the wrist bone).

Must be able to pass background check, polygraph and drug screen.

Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License.
