The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Great Neck seeks a Full-time Dietary Supervisor!

Must have weekend availability for this role.

Qualifications:

  • Must have the training, experience and ability to direct the total food service operation

  • Must have knowledge of large quantity meal preparation, menu planning

  • Completing state, federal and local report

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Dietary Supervisor shall be responsible for food service related business and personnel management.

  • Assist in preparation of food items and tray lines.

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly menus.

  • Be aware of and comply with Department of Public Instruction (DPI) mandates.

  • Be responsible for the cleanliness and proper storage of all equipment and the proper handling, serving and storage of all foods.

  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchens.

  • Arrange for substitutes when food service personnel are absent.

  • Be responsible for the purchase of food commodities.

  • Be responsible for evaluation of food service personnel.

  • Coordinate the use of food service department facilities and/or equipment by staff or outside groups.

  • Must meet the requirements of the Department of Health

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Must be knowledgeable of diets

  • Must be able to do physical work and stand for extended periods of time

  • Positive attitude and energy is a must!

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
