They cut and prepare fresh fruits, veggies, and meat for the department, and keep displays well-stocked and beautifully presented. Responsibilities & Duties (other duties may be assigned) - Practices a total store approach to customer service; maintains a positive, empathetic, respectful and professional attitude towards customers - Educates customers by presenting and explaining the drink and sandwich menus - Prepares quality sandwiches/wraps and beverages, follows prescribed recipes and preparation techniques - Maintains inventories by replenishing smoothie/juice bar ingredients, coffee beans and supplies - Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs - Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations; maintains order and cleanliness of the department - Perform food preparation tasks such as washing product, cutting fresh fruits, veggies and meats, and other tasks as assigned by the Fresh Foods Manager Skills and Requirements: - Open availability - (Required) 1+ food service experience - Must be at least 18 years old - Driver\'s License - Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced caf? and kitchen environment - Excellent communication and organization skills - Strong customer service skills - A strong love of food - Ability to follow instructions and procedures - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with a professional and friendly attitude - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - (Preferred) 1+ customer service experience Physical Requirements: - Must be able to stand up to eight hours a day - Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds at a time independently or with assistance on an occasional to frequent basis - Ability to use fine motor skills - Ability to adapt to changes in temperature due to opening doors, coolers, and freezers - Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, walk, kneel, push, pull and twist repeatedly - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
