Josselyn IOP Intake Specialist / Case Manager in Grayslake, Illinois

Job Summary

The position of IOP Intake Specialist/Case Manager is responsible for intake services coordination for adolescents ages 12-18 that includes assessing the appropriateness of services and scheduling of assessment appointments. This position responds to all requests by phone or in person for IOP when appropriate and provides referrals for alternate services when the individual is ineligible for services at Josselyn. This role may also assist with addressing case management needs related to IOP participants including discharge referrals, psychiatry related needs, and identifying community resources/referrals.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

  • Schedule IMCANS Assessments with appropriate staff and ensure that opening paperwork has been sent out and completed

  • Answer phone inquiries live and returns all missed calls same business day; Respond to walk in or online inquiry questions regarding services and screen for appropriateness of services; Appropriately triage urgent and emergency calls

  • Complete required intake forms and coordinate with billing team; Record all contacts on intake log; Complete documentation in CIS on a daily basis

  • Assisting with psychiatry related needs including: scheduling of appointments, paperwork, lab work, and referrals for continued outpatient psychiatry

  • Participating in weekly supervision (either group or individual), Participating in professional development activities

  • Responsible for obtaining client's complete and accurate patient demographic, financial information, and insurance (eligibility and/or verification)

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by providing a client friendly and pleasant registration process to assure that client needs are met in a timely manner and for adhering to all compliance requirements as mandated

  • This position would act as liaison between departments to foster open communication and team work, utilizing positive and effective communication with all team member

Qualifications

  • Have prior experience working with adolescents in a partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (required)

  • High organizational skills to manage various duties

  • Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
