Eaton Corporation Area Sales Manager in Grapevine, Texas

Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking an Area Sales Manager. This is a construction-focused position and candidates for this role must reside within 50 miles of our Grapevine, TX location to be considered for this position. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside this location.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

The role will be responsible for managing key customers to achieve planned results for the Dallas/Ft. Worth, east Texas and northern Louisiana markets’ customer base, sales resources, products and distribution to achieve planned results for Eaton. This individual will provide strong leadership and development to a sales team consisting of sales professionals and distribution channel. Expected results include but are not limited to growth in sales and market share, channel development, as well as developing talent within the area.

In this function you will:

  • Manage key customers within the assigned market and customer base

  • Provide leadership and development to a sales team

  • Develop market plans for product and segment focused growth

  • Ensure on time and accurate reporting to ensure sales teams are winning and supporting customers sustainably

  • Create account strategies, monthly performance reporting and driving collaboration efforts with key division support personnel

  • Work with talent acquisition and development within the area, which is also a key focus

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum seven (7) years electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience

  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Manager of people experience

  • 10+ years of electrical industry sales experience

  • Previous experience managing people and channels

Skills:

Position Criteria:

  • Possess excellent communication skills

  • Superior knowledge of sales techniques, customers, customer relations and employee development

  • Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels

  • Significant sales presence such as that the candidate can clearly command in difficult sales situations

  • Experience in growing sales and market share, channel development and developing employee

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $160,500 - $235,400.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
